Community education has been a hallmark of every BPC activity and program since our founding in 2014.
One of the primary goals of the Brewster Ponds Coalition is to provide ongoing programs that educate residents about the importance of protecting our water resources and strive to instill a willingness among residents to take their own measures to help protect Brewster’s delicate ecosystem within Cape Cod.

Our adult education programs focus on the three main sources of water pollution: septic systems, fertilizer, and stormwater runoff.
With continued adult education programs, the BPC works to increase awareness among residents and show how some simple measures can have a big impact on the health of our beautiful ponds. Photograph by William F. Pomeroy
The BPC partners with not only local organizations, but also environmental groups on the state level. As such, the community is able to receive information from other entities that share the same mission as the BPC.
