Restoring The Health of Local Ponds - On The Point, WCAI's Mindy Todd hosts a discussion about the health of area ponds and challenges to pond restoration. Guests on the program are: Sue Leven, Brewster town planner; Chris Miller, director of the Brewster Department of Natural Resources; Tom Cambareri, watershed management director at the Cape Cod Commission; and Mark Nelson, senior hydrologist with the Horsely Witten group. Due to a technical glitch, Board members of the Brewster Ponds Coalition who were prepared to participate in the discussion, were unable to connect via telephone on this day.

Brewster Water Resources Atlas - Freshwater Ponds - Completed in 2014 by the Horsley Witten Group for the Town of Brewster. Contains maps of 42 ponds depicting surface watersheds and groundwater recharge areas to freshwater ponds. (Large file pdf 36M.)
Cape Cod Pond And Lake Atlas - Completed in 2003 for the Cape Cod Commission, this Pond and Lake Atlas is a status report on the PALS program. It documents the outreach and education activities leading to the creation of the PALS program, reviews water quality data collected by volunteers during the 2001 PALS Snapshot from over 190 ponds, uses this data to develop Cape Cod-specific indicators of pond impacts, reviews data collected in previous studies, and details further efforts necessary to move pond protection and remediation forward on the Cape.
Brewster's Integrated Water Resource Management Plan, Phases II and III - In 2009, the Town of Brewster Comprehensive Water Planning Committee (CWPC) recognized that an integrated approach was needed to protect and restore the Town’s waters. Integrated water management recognizes that impacts to groundwater also affect surface waters and vice versa.
