Brewster Property Owners Respond During First Annual Appeal

Brewster property owners are concerned about the condition of the town's ponds.  And, they are showing it with their wallets and their time.  “Early results from the first Annual Appeal have been very strong,” said Tom Vautin, Brewster Ponds Coalition Board President.  “It's great to see people taking ownership of these issues and stepping up to play a role in improving our ponds,” he said.

Two critical goals in the year to come, are to grow the group into a sustainable organization with focused action teams, and to create practical pond protocols so good pond work can begin.

A letter was sent out in early November to every Brewster property owner.  To date, the Coalition has raised just over $10,000 and gained 155 members for 2016.  “We are very thankful to those who have already mailed in their membership forms, contributed online and volunteered for one of our many action teams,” said Rick Kuzman, Membership Liason and Board member.  The appeal continues through January 1, 2016.
