Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival Tours In Brewster
July 12th & 13th

The Brewster Ponds Coalition and The Brewster Garden Club are excited to host four gardens as part of 2022’s Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival on July 12th and 13th! Four Brewster gardens will be highlighted, each designed and maintained by the individual owners and carrying a unique charm. The garden features are wide-ranging, with hydrangeas, native pollinator gardens, sun and shade perennials, ornamental shrubs and trees, hollies, organic vegetable gardens, and permagarden water conservation and runoff mitigation techniques. Some properties are waterfront or have water features - there is something for every interest!

We invite you to visit 69 Howes Road. The owners of this unique, alternative garden near Sheep Pond have worked with Terra Firma Permagarden to mitigate their roof runoff, capturing it in downspout keyhole gardens and lithic swales.

The terraced garden beds that surround the rock-lined keyhole were planted with native high and low-bush blueberry bushes and native bearberry, demonstrating key ecosystem management techniques while providing color and beauty. Pre-registration is not required. The tour costs $5/person and proceeds support the BPC.
