Consideration of Decentralized Wastewater Management

Many communities on Cape Cod, including Brewster, have decentralized or “package” sewage treatment plants to manage wastewater in specific neighborhoods or locations. This informative talk, presented by Brewster resident and engineer, David Bennett, will allow you to hear from an expert about the benefits and limitations of decentralized sewage treatment plants and where some of these systems are located in Brewster. ​

Mr. Bennett has over 35 years of experience as a professional geologist and hydrogeologist. In 1992, Mr. Bennett became the principal and owner of Bennett Environmental Associates, LLC, a professional consulting firm that provides engineering and environmental services to private individuals, municipalities, and commercial businesses. Since 2019, he has served as the firm’s Manager of Operations and Business Development. He is currently the Chair of the Town of Brewster Board of Health and member of the town's Water Resources Task Force.
