Thanks to Your Generosity, the BPC Reaches 60% of Its Goal!!

12/14/2016

The BPC thermometer continues its rise towards the 100 percent mark. As of December 13, you’ve donated $13,280, which is just over 60 percent of our annual appeal goal of $22,000. This total includes 132 individual and families who renewed their 2017 membership and 47 new members who responded to our Brewster property owner mailer in November. Thank you for your support!

We’re excited to get this far, but we still have just over $8,800—or 40% of our goal to raise before January 31, 2017. Your donations will help us to:

  • Continue our Winter Education Forum Series and Social/Fun Events: Our Education/Events action committee is busily planning a winter series of talks and nature walks as well as our second annual member breakfast. Stay tuned for more details!

  • Implement Our New Pond Education Program: BPC board members and our AmeriCorps Member, Corey Bray, have begun research on the Pond Booklets to be included in the Pond Education Kits, and is working with The Family School, The Laurel School, and The Partnership School to organize program activities.

  • Continue Our Pond advocacy: Four BPC board members attended the 4th Annual Cape Coastal Conference in early December to explore pond restoration and educational strategies with other local pond environmental organizations. We continue to represent our ponds locally, especially as the Town explores new septic system regulations for pond front property owners.

We are very excited to get this campaign off the ground! Please help us get the rest of the way there:

  • If you haven’t already, please consider making a donation online on the BPC website and share this link on to as many people as you can.

  • If you’re still holiday shopping, please join the AmazonSmile program, which donates 0.5% of your Amazon purchase amount to the BPC.

  • Like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to help spread the word about BPC activities.

We are determined to meet and hopefully even exceed our goal, but we can’t do it without you. Thank you so much for  your generosity and support!
